that hubby got for me for my birthday/valentine's day one year (long before he was hubby)

im baaaaackkk!!! (aka the most random post ever!)

well i still don't have internet (and it's not looking like i'll get any until october...stupid 1 year contracts) and i'm still feeling a little blah about blogging, in fact i'm feeling a little blah about online-social-anything-in-general lol 

seriously though, brooke tweeted that she missed me and michelle commented on my facebook yesterday asking if i was alive cause i hadn't been on either much in a few days

i'm not sure what my deal is cause i've been in a fantastic mood and have been having so much fun i just haven't felt like documenting it i guess which is highly unusual for me haha!

but anyway to get out of this funk i'm just going to (drink lots of starbucks and) push myself to blog through it!

speaking of starbucks the lady didn't hear me say "vanilla" when i said "iced grande vanilla soy latte" and after drinking half of it before realizing why it wasn't sweet at all and went back up and was just gonna ask for a bit of vanilla syrup and instead she made me a venti on the house...win!

in other news the style posts are back cause we finally started going to chapel service on sundays

it only took us so long to start going cause i was waiting on hubs to figure out when/where to go and finally on saturday i just googled "fort sam houston chapel services" and bam! a whole list of services popped up

lesson learned: don't ask hubs to find things out...i'm still waiting on him to find out if i can go to the new gym and where it is/ what times it's open :/

anywhooo...this is what i wore to church on sunday:

ballerina sunday

so since this skirt has layers of tulle...

and i decided to be nice on my feet and wear ballet flats...

i figured i might as well go all out and rock the ballerina bun.

oh, and i had to weasel my sister into taking these pics since hubby's gone

she gripes and moans about it but i think she does a pretty good job

easter edition

yes i realize easter was a whole week ago

yes i realize i'm a slacker

it happens, anyway even though i like to dress up more for church than a lot of people at my church do, easter i like to dress up even a bit more

what can i say? when you grow up getting a fancy easter dress each year it sticks

anyway you may (or more likely probably not) notice that this was my bridesmaids dresses

it was my sisters and was not her style, and it is totally mine cause (duh) i picked it out... anyway, score for me

and my wonderful hubby got me these shoes on our honeymoon!

oh! and my church is huge and has like 7 services normally and usually about 20 the whole week of easter so instead this year we went to arco

a word on shopping dates

the weather has been so bipolar lately

a day or so before this was so warm and i was looking forward to wearing a different outfit on sunday with no tights, but alas as sunday rolled around it was cold and cloudy (though it made for some great lighting)

the boots are from this (though i originally wore a cuter outfit with them)

so brian brought me this dress 3 years or so ago

occasionally when we were bored and couldnt think of anything to do (you know...no good movies out, not hungry, already went bowling and whatnot recenly) brian would actually suggest shopping

i know! crazy right?

anyway i pretty much only had a job when i needed one so i almost never had any money so sometimes we would window shop but sometimes he would tell me i could get whatever i wanted to a certain amount of money

it was super fun for me obviously and i think he liked how excited i got

plus since he was buying it i wanted him to like it so i let him help pick it out

and normally he doesnt like most of the stuff i buy ha!

anyway this was one of those dresses and when i put it on it makes me so happy to know that my love bought it for me

it was raining outside

so this is what we ended up with

since the weather has been acting crazy lately, it was raining again

and since im not a fan of wet feet i wore my rain boots to church

(i did have a jacket, but those pictures were blurry)

solo sunday

so i had my sister take these pictures cause brian was here (he was very excited)

my mom wasnt feeling well so my dad stayed home with her so it was just hannah and i going to church

im not sure where these tights came from (probably target or the like) but i do know they are childrens tights

..and i now know why i hated tights so much as i little girl, these babys are itchy

(note to self...invest in higher quality cream tights)

lulu is in the fashion post too because after church i made this for her:

valentines day

so because

1. we dont have a lot of money right now

and

2. i think its way more fun

we stayed in for valentines day

brians valentine present to me was to do all the dishes (there were tons and we dont have a dishwasher)

and i did this for him:

made him a scrummy dinner! i hung paper hearts from the ceiling and scattered some on the table

we used our napkins from the wedding

so heres the story on the ravioli, costco had this red and white heart shaped ravioli that i wanted to make, but i kept being to busy to go and didnt go until monday and there were all out :(

so when i came home i told brian that i was very sad because i wanted to make the heart shaped ravioli and not just the stupid regular ravioli (which was delicious btw), to which he replied

"ill just pretend its heart shaped"

i love my husband

i made white chocolate dipped strawberries, a valentines tradition

oh! there was also champagne, i just forgot to pour it before i took the pictures

i wore my sisters bridesmaid dress (which she gave me, yes!), shoes that hubby bought me on our honeymoon, and a heart clip i made

lulu had a bow that matched my dress with a matching heart clipped to the center

it was a fabulous first valentines day as a married couple and im looking forward to many more to come ♥

sunshine sunday

so last week i got rained out of my outfit and this week i got sunned out (aka it was too hot!)

but thats ok cause i love this outfit too!

the shirt is from this (which i have yet to post about ekk!)

and the shoes are the ones i got here

and that skirt i got on sale for $6.99!

oh and btw the simply vera wang tights from kohls are my favorite

lulu wouldnt stand with daddy, she wanted to be in the pictures

...actually, i think she just likes mama better :)

rain check

so i had a different outfit planned out for sunday, but the rain had other plans

so heres what i pulled on to stay warm and dry:

freestyle is basically like crossroads (gently used clothing)

oh! and i got that $200 jacket for 12.50! (well, plus tax)

seriously! it must have been a couple years old and got sent to the store on accident. it was hiding in the stock room forever and eventually went down in price to $24.90 and we had a 50% off clearance sale (which is going on right now too btw) and i snagged it!

starting sundays

so ive decided to start posting my outfits from sundays

cause lets be honest...church is the only time i dress cute

i mean, im highly limited at work and if im just running errands im probably wearing jeans and a t-shirt

(though i might wear just that to church sometimes...it doesnt matter to god what i wear...i just like to dress up most sundays)

and if i never leave the house, i never change out of my jammies...in fact if i caome home for the day i change into jammies...please tell me im not alone in this ha!

but it was a hassle to put it all at the bottom here (seriously though...i had to keep scrolling up to see what i was actually wearing ha!)

plus lets be honest, hers look so much better

i decided to include lulu in the shoot, because 1. she is looking stylin in her martha stewert collar and leash and 2. i cant leave her by herself or shell ruin something ha!

snow day

so the morning of the day that this happened husband and i decided to go to the snow!

we just drove north until we saw enough snow to play in (about an hour)

we threw a few snowballs

made a baby snowman

and had so much fun for a good 30 mins...then we drove back ha!

and i really liked my snow outfit :)
